NASHVILLE, Tenn. – S Michael Griffin’s contract situation with the Tennessee Titans this offseason was somewhat similar to that of CB Cortland Finnegan’s a year ago.
But it had a different ending.
Whereas Finnegan never got the Titans to give him the long-term contract he was seeking, Griffin and the team agreed to a new five-year deal on Tuesday. It’s worth $36 million, including $15 million guaranteed and a $9 million signing bonus.
